Recently, I was added to a Telegram group where more than 200 people had gathered. The promise sounded simple:
👉 “Earn 10–350 € per day by liking and following social media pages. Money will be transferred to you instantly!”
At first sight, it looks tempting — who wouldn’t want easy money for pressing a few buttons? But this is a classic scam pattern. Let’s break it down.
How the scam works
- The hook – You are invited into a group with many “members.” The numbers create the illusion of trust and legitimacy.
- The promise – Easy money, instant payments, and no real work.
- The bait – Sometimes scammers really pay out a small amount in the beginning to win your confidence.
- The trap – Later, they ask for a “deposit” or “upgrade fee” to unlock bigger tasks and higher earnings. Once you pay, your money is gone.
- The fake chat – Many of the messages in these groups are from bots or fake accounts. They post things like: “I just received €50, thank you!” to trick others into believing it’s real.
Red flags to notice
- Unrealistic earnings – Nobody pays €350 per day for pressing “like.”
- Instant payouts – Real companies have contracts, invoices, and payment terms.
- Crowded groups with praise – Often staged to make you feel safe.
- Requests for deposits – No legitimate employer asks you to pay in order to earn.
What can happen
- You may lose money if you send any “activation” or “deposit” fees.
- You may lose your accounts if you share your login details.
- Your identity can be misused if you hand over personal information.
Real lesson
Scammers prey on hope and greed. They know that “easy money” is one of the oldest traps in history.
If you are approached in a similar way:
❌ Do not pay.
❌ Do not share accounts or personal details.
❌ Do not trust “happy testimonials” in the chat.
Instead:
âś… Leave the group immediately.
âś… Report it as scam inside Telegram.
✅ Warn your friends and family so they don’t fall for it.
